Here at Gateway Sports we are pleased to announce our advisory board as we continue our mission to become one of the leading talent representation & sports marketing agencies in the world.

The advisory board is formed with leading industry experts from across the world of sports, entertainment and business consultancy. As a collective they provide strategic guidance as Gateway looks to drive growth across talent representation & sports marketing verticals, brand consultancy and production services both in the UK and increasingly in the U.S.

Meet The Advisors

Jamie Corr, Managing Director at Burson Sports

Based in Switzerland, Jamie Corr holds broad experience from a prominent career in international sports marketing and communications. Currently the Managing Director of Burson Sports, Jamie has held senior roles at organisations such as the International Olympic Committee and MKTG where he served as Senior Vice President EMEA of Sponsorship & Consultancy GMR. His work has included collaborations with leading global organisations such as FIFA and UEFA, as well as leading iconic campaigns, including Messi x Budweiser.

Joycelyn Mate, Business Consultant & Entrepreneur

Joycelyn Mate is a leading entrepreneur, finance & operations specialist and start-up business consultant.

Over the last decade, she co-founded the award-winning D2C cosmetic brand Afrocenchix, transforming it from a bootstrapped startup into an international venture. During her tenure, she successfully raised capital from SoftBank, Backstage Capital, Impact X, Backed VC, and Nalden, the founder of WeTransfer. In the 24 months leading up to her departure, she grew revenue by over 500% and expanded the team from two co-founders to fourteen members. Since then, she has been providing advisory and consultancy services to the next generation of startup founders, helping them build successful businesses.

Yao Williams, Vice President, Global Partnerships at Elevate.

Yao Williams, based in New York City - is a leader in global partnerships and sports marketing.

Since February 2024, he has served as Vice President of Global Partnerships at Elevate, building on his previous role as Vice President of Global Brand Partnerships at ESL FACEIT Group. Before that, Yao led international business at A1 Partners, overseeing commercial strategies and global partnerships. His career also includes managing partnership sales for Greater China and the Americas at City Football Group, along with significant contributions at the NBA, New York Yankees, Charlotte Hornets, and Cleveland Gladiators. Yao holds a B.A. in Political Science from Miami University and an M.A. in Sports Management from Cleveland State University.

Adam Leadercramer, Partner at Onside Law.

Adam Leadercramer, based in London, a partner at Onside Law, specialising in sports law with a focus on commercial, technology, and intellectual property matters.

Recognised in the Legal 500’s “Hall of Fame” for sports law, Adam advises clients across a range of sectors, including individuals, teams, agencies, brands, and data-driven businesses.

With experience gained from secondments at the Rugby Football Union and Lawn Tennis Association, his practice covers supply of goods/services contracts, sponsorship agreements, with a strong emphasis on technology, digital media, and broadcasting. Adam holds a Master’s degree in Sports Law and is highly regarded by both the Legal 500 and Chambers.
